Overview of the Intermediate Speed Skate Program
The Intermediate Speed Skate Program is designed for athletes who aim to enhance their performance and gain a deeper understanding of speed skating. This program builds on foundational skills and emphasizes several key areas:
Key Focus Areas
Technique Refinement: Athletes will work on perfecting their skating techniques to improve efficiency and speed.
Endurance Development: The program includes training that enhances the skater's endurance, enabling them to perform better in longer races.
Race Strategies: Skaters will learn various strategies to optimize their performance during competitions.

Provincial championships
This environment allows athletes to push their limits and strive for personal bests while being supported by coaches and peers.

Schedule
Dates and times may be subject to change. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to confirmation from the City of Fredericton as they finalize ice time allocations for all user groups.
Tuesdays, 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:15 p.m.
Sundays, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. (arrive at 9:15 to put up board pads).
*Sunday practices are not held every week. Instead, there are approximately 8-9 Sunday practices scheduled throughout the season, as outlined in the club’s practice calendar. These practices are subject to change due to other events, such as hockey tournaments, which take place on the Grant-Harvey Olympic Ice surface. Additionally, Sunday practices will not occur during speed skating competitions held in New Brunswick or Atlantic Canada. They will only proceed if the majority of skaters in the A and B Groups confirm their attendance.
